About Carolyn Dupont

     
     

Since moving to central Kentucky in 1988, harpist Carolyn Dupont has performed over a thousand times in recitals, weddings, receptions, and church services.

She performs regularly as a member of the Chanson Trio, and has also played with various regional orchestras including the Knoxville Symphony, the Ohio Valley Symphony, and the Huntington, WVA Philharmonic.

Dupont began playing the harp at the age of twelve, when she commenced eight years of study with the noted Mimi Allen. She subsequently worked with Susan Dederich of the Dallas Philharmonic, and with Alice and Jeanne Chalifoux at the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine.

Her most recent work has included several collaborations with her husband, pianist/composer Greg Partain. Harpist Carolyn Dupont began performing professionally at 19.

She has studied with Mimi Allen, Susan Dederich of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Alice Chalifoux at the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine.

Since moving to central Kentucky, she has performed in a variety of professional and semi-professional groups, including the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, the Huntingdon West Virginia Symphony, and the Ohio Valley Symphony.
