About Scott Said Band

Blending the sweet sound of three piece southern harmonies with a live show that’s more action packed than a smack to the face, Scott Said & the Backroads Band have been unleashing their brand of high energy rock n’ roll infused country music on audiences for over a decade. Formed in early 2000, lead singer and guitarist, Scott Said has brought together one of the most talented, energetic and experienced bands in the area. Anchored by the dynamic dueling ax work of veterans Paul D and Donnie Mac on lead guitar and vocals, Scott has recently added the thunderous rhythm section of Ian Goff on bass guitar and Tony Hammons (Montgomery Gentry’s previous drummer) on drums. Together, this group has been leaving fans with an infectious case of toe tapping, raising cane, party hard good times.

Over the past few years Scott has had the pleasure to perform several high profile shows including the 2008 Red White and Boom, headlining the 2010 RJ Corman 4th of July Festival as well as opening the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Backroads has shared the stage with such national acts as Blake Shelton, John Michael Montgomery, Gary Allen, Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr’s Bama Band, David Allen Coe, Jake Owens, Chuck Wicks, and Justin Moore. They have also performed numerous pre concert parties at Rupp Arena for Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean, to name a few.

Whether they are performing the classic hits of the past or the chart toppers of today, ultimately it’s the live show that generates the most enthusiastic reviews. Scott Said & the Backroads Band race through the night cranking out hit after hit, revving their engines and leaving the crowd in a cloud of smoke begging for more. Don’t believe us……….ask a friend, they were there.
