About Sensations Dance Band

Touring the Eastern United States for thirty years THE SENSATIONS professionalism and unique versatility has created the highest demand of any Show & Dance band in the area. All of the band members are professionally trained musicians that have performed with numerous National Recording Stars. They all teach & play music for a living & are devoted to their love of performing music. A fifteen-hour list of dance tunes from 1939 to TODAY includes Swing, Jazz, Beach, Motown, Rock, Country, Disco, Top 40, etc., or the band can do what they do best & play the crowd, keeping everyone at your party dancing & having a great time. They play requests, gladly adjust their song list & volume to suit your party. Recorded music for the breaks is included so the music never stops. They only take two breaks during a four hour performance & play long sets to maintain the energy level.

THE SENSATIONS features a powerful male & female vocalist fronting the band & additional members singing lead & background vocals giving the band exceptional vocal versatility & harmony. They also feature a tight rhythm section consisting of keyboards, guitar, bass, drums & a dynamic horn section playing alto & tenor saxes, trombone, piccolo trumpet, trumpet & percussion. They use costume changes, choreography, great audience rapport & participation including inflatable guitars for audience members to join in with the band on stage, Blues Brothers & YMCA hats, mini tambourines, hula hoops, as well as band members going into the crowd leading line dancing & conga lines.

THE SENSATIONS are totally self contained with complete road crew and state of the art sound & lighting which is adaptable to any location. If you are considering hiring a national recording artist, you could save several thousand on production costs by using "The Sensations'" equipment. They can perform with 1 to 4 musicians for ceremonial music during weddings, dinner or cocktails and 6 to 10 musicians for your show or dance. If you are working with a limited budget, please keep in mind that scaling down the group, size of room, amount of sound & lighting, size of road crew, day of week, time of day, charity function, routing and close proximity to your date can reduce the overall cost.
