Three central Kentucky women have been introducing audiences to a rare and scintillating musical combination since 1992. The harp, flute, and cello ensemble known as The Chanson Trio performs in a variety of venues including recitals, weddings, and receptions.

Since moving to central Kentucky in 1988, harpist Carolyn Dupont has performed over a thousand times in recitals, weddings, receptions, and church services. She performs regularly as a member of the Chanson Trio, and has also played with various regional orchestras including the Knoxville Symphony, the Ohio Valley Symphony, and the Huntington, WVA Philharmonic.

Dupont began playing the harp at the age of twelve, when she commenced eight years of study with the noted Mimi Allen. She subsequently worked with Susan Dederich of the Dallas Philharmonic, and with Alice and Jeanne Chalifoux at the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine.

Her most recent work has included several collaborations with her husband, pianist/composer Greg Partain.Harpist Carolyn Dupont has played harp since the age of 12, and began performing professionally at 19. She has studied with Mimi Allen, Susan Dederich of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Alice Chalifoux at the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine.

Since moving to central Kentucky, she has performed in a variety of professional and semi-professional groups, including the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, the Huntingdon West Virginia Symphony, and the Ohio Valley Symphony.

Dwana Eberlein, flute, holds a Masters degree in flute performance from the University of Kentucky. She teaches flute at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, performs regularly as a member of both the Chanson and Ariel Trios, and is the owner of Hurst Music, Lexington, Kentucky.
