About Jim Cook

Jim has been playing electric guitar and singing for many years and has played in many popular rock and show bands over the years. He was in a rock group, you might remember, that worked around central Kentucky in the eighties called Joshua Cooley.

In the late 80’s, he started getting into the then new technology of sequencing music tracks using synthesizers that were available at that time. Using that technology, he started working as a duo with a female vocalist and traveled extensively playing nationwide at hotels, casinos, resorts and various cruise lines till 2001 when he started working full time for Carnival Cruise Lines as a soloist.

At the end of 2004, he returned home from the road and worked around central Kentucky until early 2010 when he moved to The Villages in Florida. There Jim worked at the many venues around The Villages including the many country clubs and nightclubs.

Also while there Jim played with local rock and blues bands popular in the area as well as his primary single act.

In 2012 Jim returned to Central Kentucky to continue working in our area

Jim’s specialty being an electric guitar player is the ability to do classic rock songs as an example and make them sound very much like the original recordings

Listen to the demo songs and you’ll see what we mean… the guitar work you’re hearing is what he does live!
