PowerPlay is much more than a party band; they are a band that has entertained crowds throughout the state of Kentucky and Ohio. This nine-member musical group features the live music of the '60s and '70s with a particular emphasis on popular songs from that era that feature a horn section, and music from the Motown Sound.
PowerPlay features four vocalists, four rhythm players, and a three piece horn section. PowerPlay can provide you with great live entertainment and dance band music no matter what the occasion from wedding receptions, corporate parties, and all other events. This live band brings fun, quality and professionalism. The band's main goal is to create live music and entertainment that you and your guests will definitely enjoy!
PowerPlay has performed for numerous events in Kentucky and Ohio such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Fundraiser at the Cincinnati Music Hall, Great American Brass Band Festival, SetonFest Summer Festival, Bourbon Chase Race, Army Gold Star Event at Churchill Downs, Pioneer Playhouse Fundraiser and many other private functions. PowerPlay features four vocalists as well as four rhythm players (drums, bass, lead guitar, and a full compliment of key boards.) The group has a three piece horn section (trumpet, saxophone and trombone). This is a live band with a rich tradition in Kentucky, first playing together as a band beginning in 1974 and again after reuniting in 2016 to perform live music from the 60’s and 70’s again.
PowerPlay has been the favorite band of many corporate events, country clubs, and private parties.
